Our Story
Askia's story started a long time ago. It started with an amazing man named Coach Cyrel Foote!
As the Founder and Head Track Coach of ASKIA, this is where he recruited and coached children from Wichita inner city neighborhoods. He taught the fundamentals of track and field along with everyday life skills. Coach Foote served as a summer youth coach for over 10 years. He made sure that the youth had a positive program that they could be apart of and to keep them off the streets. ASKIA Track Club went to many AAU and TAC/USA Junior Olympics every year as a team with over 100 qualifiers. The team was filled with of kids that ranged from 7-18 year olds. During the summers, the family opened their home to many track kids to live and have a space were they felt loved, safe and cared for. He truly touched the lives of so many and stood in the gap as a father figure and mentor to many kids from the whole Wichita community. Sadly Coach Foote would pass away August 25, 2018.
Askia would then get the name-sake after the amazing team that Ally Dansby (the current head coach) came from, Askia HighSteppers. Coach Foote was very influential in her life. Because of him, she was afforded many opportunities in the way of discipline to her sport, travel, competition and scholarships. It is for this reason she brought back his foundation, teachings and coaching methods. Askia HighSteppers, lead by Ally Dansby is a Non-Profit Organization in the heart of Sumner County, Wellington, Ks. Askia is Wellington's 2nd Club Track and Field Team. The team has coaches, athletes and volunteers from all over Sumner County and caters to the athletes of the area.
Ally is one of the many legacy protégés of Coach Foote and his teachings will forever live on!

Our Story
BSR Sports started with a great man from Pensacola, FL named Michael "PC" Patton!
Coach PC is a positive force of nature always thinking of his community and family first. Coach PC is a long time athlete that got his start in his younger days with track and field. From breaking records to being a respected varsity captain of his team there was nothing he couldn't do! Coach Pc would go on to college and rain down medals, encouraging his teammates and influencing young minds all while putting together his musical career. PC was no stranger to being a servant of the Lord and though him, PC went on to accomplish so much in the Wichita, KS community! PC saw the need for more help in keeping the local community youths off the street and getting them into a positive environment. This was the start of our beloved, BSR Sports.! Through this team he was able to coach his All American son, Raziel Patton and be able to minister to the other youth using hard work and the Lord as his guide. Coach PC has ushered in many youths to victory, to college and to greatness. He saw something in them that they were not able to see in themselves. Even when others told him that he should give up, his steadfastness in God keep in goal driven and blessed. BSR Sports First Lady, Coach Sheda Patton is the other beautiful light behind BSR Sports! Together they are the dream team and because of them so many kids have a future!
